John Davis is a Florida  Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy and maintains a private practice in Delray Beach, Florida focused on trauma based disorders including PTSD, addiction,  depression, DID, and characterological disorganizations known as Axis II, or personality disorders.  He is a  Clinical Hypnotherapist, certified under the direction of The Institute for Survivors of Sexual Violence, Jupiter, FL 33458

John is a graduate of The University of Georgia at Athens and The University of West Georgia at Carrolton.  John specializes in Zen Mindfulness based therapies, including Gestalt, Psychodrama, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy as well as a variety of Cognitive based methods.  He is currently a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.

John is an action oriented therapist whose approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. He incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, he works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
